Mitsumata

Mitsumata its ein langsamwachsender Laubbaum der Daphne-Familie, dessen Äste ca. 2 Meter Länge erreichen und der alle 3 Jahre beerntet werden kann. Die Papierfaser  (Länge ca. 3.2mm) ist weich, biegsame, dünn und glänzend. Die Druckeigenschaften von Mitsumata-Papier sind so exzellent, daß japanische Banknoten daraus hergestellt werden, die als die besten der Welt gelten.

Falls damit ein Drachen bespannt wird, so steigt dieser ähnlich im Wert, wie wenn Sie sich ihren Mohair-Pulli überziehen...

Mitsumata

(Edgeworthia papyrifera)

Mitsumata is a slowly growing deciduous tree of the Daphne-family, its twigs reaching a length of ca. 2 meters. It can be harvested every three years. Its paper fibres (length of approx. 3.2cm) is smooth, pliable, thin and shining. The printing properties of Mitusmata-paper is so excellent, that Japanese bank notes are made from it. Japanese bank notes are known to be the best ones of the world...

If you think to covering your kite frame with this valuable paper, the kite becomes much more valuable; the same as when you put on your "Mohair" pullover... ;-))
